Your right to delete your data
At Central Desk we respect your right to control your personal information. You can request that we delete the data we hold about you at any time. This page explains exactly what to send us, what happens after you request a deletion, and how long it takes.
What data we hold
Depending on how you use Central Desk, we may hold any of the following:
- Your name, phone number, and email address used to sign up or contact a business through our platform
- Messages you have sent or received through the connected channels (WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, SMS, Email)
- Orders, invoices, bookings, and refund requests linked to your account
- Workspace activity, team membership, and login history
- Wallet transactions and subscription invoices
How to request deletion
Send an email to privacy@centraldesk.io with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include:
- The full name on the account
- The email address or phone number associated with the account
- The workspace name (if you are a workspace owner or team member)
- A clear statement that you want your personal data deleted
If you signed up through Facebook or Instagram and want to revoke that connection, you can also go to Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites → Central Desk → Remove. We will then automatically receive a deletion request from Meta.
What happens next
Once we receive your request:
- We verify the request is genuine by replying to the email address on file
- Within 30 days we permanently delete your personal data from our active systems
- Within 90 days the data is also removed from our encrypted backup snapshots
- We send you a confirmation email when the deletion is complete
What we cannot delete
To comply with legal, tax, and fraud-prevention requirements we may need to keep some minimal records (for example, invoices and tax records). These are kept only for the statutory retention period and are not used for any other purpose.
Data that was shared between you and a business through Central Desk is also visible to that business in their own copy. To delete that data on the business side, please contact the business directly.
